Sex Makes Its Own Lesson Book

Don’t throw it all away,

Make sure you play it safe.

He may ask you to dance - try to get in your pants,

Give a single glance, maybe kick his ass.

She may look in your eyes and say that she’ll die, but you’d never met.

She’ll say she really loves you but it may not be true – a night you’ll never forget.

Don’t regret that night because the sex was a lie – wait a while.

Yeah, the feelings will flow – try to keep ‘em on low – don’t let ‘em go wild.

Teenage groove – told you should put it to use – but your folks disagree,

Yeah, you get in the car – he says “Can I take it this far?” – you say “It’s alright with me.”

A week you’ve been sick – you find out real quick, hey something’s wrong.

You sit in a room – doc should see you soon – you’re four weeks along.

Say you have some fun with her that night and then you go home.

She says goodbye and you’re left so alone.

You turn real pale and your body gets weak,

Shit! You got an STD.

AIDS could take your life and it does go around,

It could be too soon, your body to lie in the ground.

Just a little truth to get to you,

Maybe you could use.

Condoms are important to use – use the latex not just when you choose – don’t make it too late.

Hormones rage, keep smart on the same page – be good to your date.

No turning back, it’s done and over – parents talk to your kids,

About what sex does and is.

Over repeat as often as you can,

Make sure they understand.

When they walk out that night, make sure they know,

Then you got to let them go.

Oral is not safe all the way,

That infection not the sweetest taste.

Younger and younger the age that they learn – use a lot of concern.

Tell them about when you thought it was your sex turn.

Time runs out, you got to use the head sitting on your neck.

There are things you’d probably regret,

If you get her pregnant - it won’t fix a thing,

Forget the diamond ring.

Watch out for the beer, for the party is near but you don’t have to go.

You can say “No thanks!” – go to the river bank and maybe float.

Take a friend or two - have your own time alone - catch up on things,

And talk about the times you’d sit and dream at age thirteen.

Learn the truth by ears – don’t get hurt - but the pressure, it’s not worth your tears,

To reminisce about those painful years.

Make a chance to look back and have a laugh – say you’re glad you didn’t do that.

Wow, “NO” is all it took,

Sex makes its own lesson book.
